THE USE OF ZEOLITE IN CORN WITH ZEOPROFIT HELLAS NEW FERTILIZERS.
Corn has a high capacity of photosynthesis and hence great production capacity. Odds, over 2000 kg / acre are commonplace.
The requirements for corn in fertilizers are: up to 20 kg N, 15 kg P2O5 and 25 kg K2O per acre to produce 1000 kg of fruit per acre. These quantities have to be modified according to the desired level of production, soil reserves, available moisture,
With a transpiration coefficient of 300 (300 liters of water to produce 1 kilogram of dry matter) the requirements of corn in water are small. However, it is important to take into account its high yields but also its increased demands during the summer months.
Especially for maize, the placement of the fertilizer in the root region is of great importance considering the low plant density and especially the long distances between the lines. This, as it is known, applies to all plants when we want to have a good start when the soil is very poor or has a high binding capacity etc.
Corn, as a hot-plant plant, is in great need of favorable conditions to perform well in cooler areas. It has been found that good nutrition with P is a prerequisite for rapid growth of the root. P, along with K, make the plant resistant to cold but also to diseases. Finally N helps to quickly form the leaves, while K helps to save water.
As far as soil pH is concerned, maize is not demanding, as long as the soil has a good structure.
If organic fertilizers are used they must be supplied in autumn.
For the first start, a good dose was found: 4 kg N and 6-15 kg P205 / acre. The highest nutritional requirements for corn in the flowering season.
N-lubrication can be relatively rich as there is no risk of sliding. Fertilization in the later stages results in an increase in the protein content of the fruit. Lubrication is done between the lines, making sure that the leaf armpits are not dropped (risk of corrosion).
Lubrication with other elements such as calcium, magnesium (Mg) and trace elements is essential because high yielding maize quickly depletes the soil.
Under the conditions of our country corn found to react in the lubricant combination: 20/25 - 5/6 - 15/20.
The nitrogen is given 50% by sowing and the other half when the plants are 40cm high.
With complete fertilization of the field it was found that the plants removed: 30 kg N, 4.2 kg P, 21 kg K, 4 kg Ca, 2.2 kg Mg, 180 g Fe, 4.7 g Mn, 42 g Zn, 24 g B, and 10 Cu for yield 1829 kilos per acre.
The fruit is stored: 70% of nitrogen, 80% of phosphorus, 50% of Cu and Zn and less than 50% of all elements.
Recommended Dosages:
100 kg / acre zeolite for incorporation
12.5 kg / 1000 liters of water
